Contemporary Romance
Date Published: May 12, 2015

Leaving Emily was Mitch’s greatest mistake.  Can she forgive him?

Growing up, Mitch Carson had always dreamed of leaving Holton, Texas, traveling the world, and writing life altering stories.  As an investigative journalist, he made those dreams come true, but he left behind the only woman he ever loved.  That was his greatest mistake.  Mitch has returned home to see if she can forgive him for leaving her when she needed him the most.
In high school, Emily Fairview had fallen deeply, madly, and completely in love with Mitch.  The two of them planned a life together far away from Holton, but when Emily’s family needed her, she chose to stay.  Mitch chose to leave.  Fifteen years later Mitch is back and wants a second chance, but Emily doesn’t know if she can forgive him.
Return to Holton, Texas one last time to see if Mitch can get Emily to forgive him.  Forgive Me is the fourth and final book in the Holton Series but may be read as a standalone novel.

3.5-4 stars!
This was a short sweet story about getting a second chance at romance. One of my favorite romances are the second chance ones! If your looking for a steamy angsty story this isn't the book for you. It truly is a book about forgiveness and growth. Things don't always go as planned when your a teenager you need to grow and evolve a bit before you can get to where you want to be. This book portrayed that well. I did feel I was missing something because I didn't read the other books, especially with the secondary characters. I'm interested to read about them now, especially Tori.
I liked the concept of this book and how Mitch (H) tried to get Emily (h) to come out of her shell by finding her passions, it was a cute way to wiggle his way in. The trip was comical I found myself chuckling while reading that part, it's something that would really happen (to me). Mitch and Emily were both very likable characters, people that you'd want to be friends with. I definitely felt their connection and attraction to one another. I wish there was a little more back story and build up but all in all a light fun read.
I would recommend!
