LipsClosetoMine-SBPR-BT

LipsCloseToMine-500.jpg

Lips Close to Mine to Me by Robin Bielman

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Release Date: November 20th

Synopsis

I wasn’t supposed to see Levi Pierce ever again. A few months ago, he charmed the pants off me and we spent one incredible night together.
End of story.
Only it wasn’t. Pretty soon everywhere I turn, I see him. Our best friends are dating. My mother mistakenly—and happily—thinks he’s my plus-one to my cousin’s wedding. And he’s the guy I have to work with on the most important job opportunity of my life.
Here’s my problem: I like Levi. I like his killer smile and his dreamboat eyes and definitely the way he makes me feel in bed. But I’ve sworn off relationships. So when the sexual tension reaches epic proportions and we fall back into bed together, I tell myself it’s temporary. When I start to feel more, I tell myself it’s over.
Only Levi isn’t a forget-it kind of guy. When his lips are close to mine and he swears he’s always wanted me, my defenses disappear. But some things in life just aren’t meant to be.
Or are they?

Excerpt:

“What do you say we open that champagne then skinny-dip in the fountain?” I ask, releasing my seat belt. That I’m dying to Harper her naked again might have something to do with my suggestion, too. She searches my eyes for clues I’m serious. I help her out. “Unless you’re chicken.” With a straight face, she unclicks her seat belt, picks up the bottle of champagne and proceeds to pop the cork like a champ. She takes a swig, her full lips wrapped around the bottle, her eyes never leaving mine. My dick twitches as I imagine her gorgeous mouth sucking me deep. Full disclosure: I’ve been picturing this every damn night for the past two months. “Your turn.” She hands me the bottle as her tongue licks across her full bottom lip. If she’s trying to torture me, it’s working. Our fingers brush when I accept the Dom Perignon, and once again, the small, effortless touch isn’t enough. I take a small gulp of the sparkling drink, mindful I’m driving. When finished, I pass it back. “So, your cousin said something interesting to me tonight.” “Shit.” I laugh. The harder Harper tries to keep me at arm’s length, the more her family tries to draw me in. “Since you’re sitting at the head table during the wedding reception, she wanted me to know I’ll be sitting with your brothers.” She chokes on the champagne. “What the hell? I never RSVP’d you were my plus-one.” “Your mom did.” Harper’s head falls back against the seat, chin up, eyes closed. “That woman is impossible. I’ll tell them you’re not coming to the wedding.” “I don’t mind.” “I do.” “All right. Whatever you want.” “That’s it? Just like that, you’re not coming now?” She shifts positions, drawing her legs up so she’s sitting on them and facing me. I hadn’t noticed that she’d slipped off her shoes. “I don’t want to make you uncomfortable around your family.” “You don’t do that.” “You sure? I think I do.” “No. You don’t. Not even a little. But…” “But what?” “I did tell my mom I had a date so she wouldn’t bug me about it. I was planning to find a random guy to go with me, so I guess since she thinks it’s you…” She takes a drink, extends me the bottle. I put my palm over my heart. “How magnanimous of you.” “I know,” she teases. “Don’t you forget it.” “So I am going to the wedding?” “Yes.” LCTM-AN.jpg

Jack Valentini isn’t my type.

Sexy, brooding cowboys are fine in the movies, but in real life, I prefer a suit and tie. Proper manners. A close shave.

Jack might be gorgeous, but he’s also scruffy, rugged, and rude. He wants nothing to do with a “rich city girl” like me, and he isn’t afraid to say so.

But I’ve got a PR job to do for his family’s farm, so he’s stuck with me and I’m stuck with him. His glares. His moods. His tight jeans. His muscles.

His huge, hard muscles.

Pretty soon there’s a whole different kind of tension between us, the kind that has me misbehaving in barns, trees, and pickup trucks. I’ve never done anything so out of character—but it feels too good to stop.

And the more I learn about the grieving ex-Army sergeant, the better I understand him. Losing his wife left him broken and bitter and blaming himself. He doesn’t think he deserves a second chance at happiness.

But he’s wrong.

I don’t need to be his first love. If only he’d let me be his last.

Cover Designer: Kandi Steiner

When I first met Jasmine Greene, she came in as raindrops.
I was the awkward musician, and she was the high school queen.
The only things we had in common were our music and our loneliness.
Something in her eyes told me her smile wasn’t always the truth.
Something in her voice gave me a hope I always wished to find.
And in a flash, she was gone.
Years later, she was standing in front of me on a street in New Orleans.
She was different, but so was I. Life made us colder. Harder. Isolated.
Caged.
Even though we were different, the broken pieces of me recognized the sadness in her.
Now she was back, and I wouldn’t make the mistake of letting her go again.
When I first met Jasmine Greene, she came in as raindrops.
When we met again, she was the darkest storm.

Spider, a sexy and forbidden new standalone, is available NOW!

SBPRBanner-Spider-BT

From Wall Street Journal bestselling author Ilsa Madden-Mills comes a new standalone romance about a flawed hero and the woman he can’t forget.

SPIDER-FINAL-FULLTitle: Spider Author: Ilsa Madden-Mills Publication Date: November 13th, 2017

From Wall Street Journal bestselling author Ilsa Madden-Mills comes a new standalone romance about a flawed hero and the woman he can’t forget.

"She crossed my path and changed my whole direction."
He calls himself Spider.
I just knew him as the sinfully gorgeous guy with eyes of fire that fate sat next to me on the airplane.
I didn’t know who he really was…British rock star…my stepbrother.
He kissed me because he thought we’d never see each other again. We would.
Everyone warned me about him.
They told me he was ruthless and cold and screwed up.
They said he’d leave me with a hole in my heart.
Maybe I should have listened.
Maybe I should have built up a fortress to keep him out.
But I crumbled instead.
They say an unbreakable thread connects those who are destined to meet. If that’s true, then the moment he sat next to me, we were bound together forever.
He just had to figure it out before it’s too late…

Excerpt:

How can one human man be so hot?
Spider sits on my toilet, shirtless, while I dab at his swollen eye. I’m doing my best to keep my eyes averted from the ink on his body, the way his tattoos swirl underneath his jeans, the way his chest is carved from stone.
Of course, I’m the stupid person who suggested he remove his shirt so I could see if he has any bruising on his chest. A cracked or broken rib can cause a lot of pain, and I want to be thorough, that’s all—I swear to baby Jesus.
He grinned at my request and whipped it off—which is the reason I’m now a mess.
There’s hardly any room to breathe with him in my small bathroom. I wipe at the spot of blood on his cheek as he watches me stoically, never taking his eyes off me, tracking my every movement.
“This will look worse tomorrow,” I murmur, just to ease the tension. I stand between his spread legs, acutely aware of his fresh scent, his pure magnetism. My hands shake and I have to focus to push an image of me straddling him, both of us naked, out of my head. I want to run my tongue over the tattoo on his neck. I want to bite him like an animal while he—
Good grief, Rose, stop the fantasy!
“You’d make a good nurse,” he says softly, his long black lashes fluttering softly against his chiseled cheekbones.
“Doctor of Psychology,” I correct him.
“Your dream?”
“Yes.” Although right now I’m dreaming of him… “I know that feeling. That’s how music is to me.” His golden-brown eyes watch me as I reach over to the medicine cabinet for more antiseptic and antibacterial cream, my chest perilously close to his face. I swear my nipples are reaching for him.
“Why psychology?”
I nod, pretending like I’m not all discombobulated. “My granny mainly. She loved to read people—literally. She ran a little palm-reading business out of her home before she died. All the old ladies of the neighborhood would come to see her. She’d make them coffee and they’d just…talk. She’d tell them what they needed to hear while I sat on the floor next to her and listened. There wasn’t any magic involved of course.” I laugh. “But…she was incredibly intuitive. She just got people. If someone twitched or looked left or right while they were talking, she’d have a reason for it and she’d tell me all about it after they left.”
“I think I would have loved your granny.” He curls an arm around me, tugging me close until my chest is a hair’s breadth away from his face. I recall our epic kiss on the plane. I feel the pressure of his taut thighs and my breath quickens as desire unfurls inside me.
A hum warms my blood. I want him—desperately.
And it’s entirely foolish.
He’s my stepbrother.
He doesn’t call girls back.
“Why does it seem like I’ve known you forever?” I ask, feeling myself gravitating closer.
He thinks about it, pushing a piece of hair out of my eyes. Cupping my nape, he pulls me in tighter until our noses meet. The back of his hand caresses my cheek and the heat from his touch burns, yet there’s a tautness in the roped muscles of his arms, as if he’s holding himself in check.
“Because I am you,” he says softly. “We’re so much alike, it’s staggering.” He pauses and stares deep into my eyes.
I nod. I can’t think. He’s so close to me, his eyes burning into mine. He closes his eyes and exhales. “I want you, Rose. You’re intoxicating.”
I suck in a sharp breath, our lips inches apart.
Is he going to kiss me? I want him to.
His eyes open after the silence has gone on too long, a smirk forming around his mouth. “You scared of me, Rose?”
Never.
“I’m scared you’ll rip my heart out.”
He stares at the LOST tattoo on his hand. “I probably will.” Spider-AvailableNow-KU.jpg

My Review (ARC provided)
4 stars!
Spider and Rose!!
I really enjoyed this one. It was a quick read and I really enjoyed the writing. I wanted more of the H and h though. Their first encounter is so sweet and the second had me cracking up one minute, fanning myself the next and cursing the next. And pretty much the whole relationship went on that way. Spider made me so angry at times.

Rose hasn’t had the greatest start to her life, but after sometime she is adopted by a wealthy woman. She is expected to attend a private school and live on campus, she’s expected to act and dress proper, with poise and sophistication. She is not expected to behave or dress like the “trash” she came from.
Spider/Clarence has had a hard life and blames it on himself. Instead of trying to fix it he digs himself into a dark hole. He uses sex, drugs and alcohol to ease his pain and of course his music.
He doesn’t expect the pull he feels towards Rose. Their chemistry is smoking hot but don’t get to act on it, (I won’t spoil).
After years of pent up emotions will they finally get their chance?
I said earlier I wanted more, that’s because we get all the buildup of the relationship but I just wish I got to see more of the actual relationship. The angst was there though, so if you love an angsty story this is a good one. I’m not a big fan of cheating, sometimes it’s a deal breaker for me but, I also feel like it was essential to this story.
Oscar was my favorite character! He was such a great friend and brought humor into the story.
Regardless I loved the writing and really enjoyed the story.

Bad at Love, an all-new contemporary STANDALONE by New York Times Bestselling author Karina Halle is LIVE!!!

SBPRBanner-BadAtLove-BT.jpg

Bad at Love by Karina Halle Release Date: November 16th

Bad-at-Love-print-FOR-WEB
She's bad at love, but he's even worse...
Marina is hot, blonde, and wickedly smart, but when it comes to men? She's hopeless. Between her quirks and her lack of filter, there isn't a man in Los Angeles that will stick around after the third date.
Her handsome, charming friend Lazarus has the opposite problem. Everyone wants to be his girlfriend, but he gets bored and moves on quickly.
There's only one way to figure out why neither of them has cracked this love thing-- they'll date each other. On paper, it's the perfect experiment. But in reality, things between Marina and Laz get complicated quickly.
They might be bad at love, but they are even worse at being friends.

Excerpt:

The place is called Tanner Smiths and is one of those trendy bars with a prohibition theme. It’s packed and dark and there’s a small dancefloor by the door so that when you walk in, you’re sucked into a group of people grooving all up in your space. Beyonce blares from the female DJ in the corner and everyone is drunk and happy. “I approve of the vibe,” I say to Laz. “What?” he yells back mockingly over the noise, cupping his ear. Then he leans in, close. Very close. “What you havin’ to drink, sweet girl?” His breath is hot on my ear and I momentarily close my eyes, letting the feeling sink along my skin, down my back, all the way to my toes. “Anything,” I manage to say. I open my eyes and his face is still at my neck, lips at my ear. “I had no idea you were so easy to please,” he murmurs and I swear his lips are grazing my skin. Goosebumps spread and I’m hot and cold all at once. My throat feels thick as I speak. “Only when it comes to drinks. Anything else, you might have to work at it.” “Is that so?” he says, pulling back enough to look me in the eye. There’s fire inside him. God, how I want to burn. “We’ll have to see, won’t we?” I tell him. His languid gaze drops to my lips, his nostrils flaring with impatience. Fuck, do it, just fucking kiss me. Kiss me. Kiss me. He leans all the way back, gives my hand another squeeze before letting go. “Don’t you dare go anywhere.” “Bossy,” I comment, my stomach summersaulting like crazy. “You have no idea,” he says. Then he winks, a bit of a smile, and heads down to the bar to place the order. I watch him. I watch him and I watch the girls in the bar watching him and I know tonight, tonight he’s mine. I have him. I’ve never felt so alive before, a swarm of electricity underneath my skin, my heart happy, happy, happy with anticipation, knowing what might finally happen between us. BadAtLove-AN

The Outliers, the stunning conclusion to The Outskirts Duet by T.M. Frazier is available NOW! Excerpt and review!

OUTLIERSBLOGTOUR.jpg

The Outliers cover

The Outliers by T.M. Frazier

Release Date: November 9th, 2017 Genre: Contemporary Romance

Synopsis

Sensual. Heartbreaking. Passionate. Overwhelming. Maddening.
That’s the love Finn and I share.
It's the kind you can never recover from.
The kind you never WANT to recover from.
That's why we'll do everything and anything to protect it.
When my past chases me all the way to Outskirts, we have to make a choice.
Let the lies destroy our chance at future together or...bury them deep in the swamp where they belong.
Got a shovel?

Excerpt:

My eyes went to her throat. I saw her pulse quicken beneath her smooth skin. She twisted her pouty pink lips. Her hesitation only lasted a second before she wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me down closer so that the tips of our noses touched. Her lips feathered against mine. "Fuck me, Finn." "Yes," I growled. I may have been the one who told her to say those words but hearing them out of her mouth caused the raging inferno of lust within me to explode beyond control. I had a feeling I'd be hearing those words on repeat in my head for the rest of my life. Fuck me, Finn. I lifted her up onto the nearest table and pushed her onto her back. I tore her panties off in one tug and while I devoured her with my eyes, I somehow managed to concentrate enough to unbuckle my belt and push my jeans down over my ass, freeing my throbbing cock. Sawyer moaned when I parted her legs, stepping between them. The sound was pure fucking heaven. Our tongues danced while we drank each other in. I savored the way her body felt against mine. Hard against soft. I dug my fingers into the flesh of her perfectly round ass before moving them to her pussy where I parted her warm wet folds and strummed her swollen clit because Sawyer was my instrument of choice and only I knew how to play her to perfection. The look on Sawyer's face when I inserted a finger inside of her was as if I'd just given her a drug. She was high on the pleasure. Her lids were heavy. Her pupils large and dark. I was dead set on making sure I wrung every bit of pleasure from her gorgeous body and I gave her exactly what she’d asked me for. DUETCOMPLETE1

Review: (ARC provided)

4.5 stars!
I loved the conclusion to this story. It starts off where the cliffy leaves us. Sawyer is in shock and panicking, she doesn’t know if she can believe her eyes. Critter needs to help Sawyer and convince her that what she is seeing is real, on top of making Sawyer believe and trust him.

“We cried because we both finally knew the truth. We cried for the time lost between us, we were both crying for her.”

Finn really turned around in this book. It was perfect! I loved watching their relationship evolve and seeing Sawyer evolve more and more has the book went on.

“I don’t know what to believe anymore. It’s scary not having faith, but freeing at the same time.”

There is a scene about faith, Sawyer and Finn are discussing it and I just wanted to applause. It was presented perfectly and I couldn’t agree more.

I really enjoyed learning Critter’s background a little more too and finding out how he and Sawyers mom got to be where they are today.

It wouldn’t be T.M. though if she didn’t throw some darkness in there. Sawyer’s dad brings in the dark but so does Critters background. Critter has some pretty amazing talks with Finn too. I was cracking up.

This book has a little bit of everything. There were times it was sweet and romantic, times it was sad, times it gave me anxiety, and times it made me laugh.

I’m really hoping to get a spinoff with some characters, they are too good to let go just yet. We do get a surprise character, so if you’re familiar with her other books you will be happy!

“In The Beginning, Finn and I were just two outliers, each on the cusp of different societies. Together we found our place.”

On the Way to You by Kandi Steiner

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Publishing Date: November 16th, 2017

OtWtY Wrap.png

What makes you happy?
That was the question Emery Reed asked me the day we met, and I couldn’t give him a single answer. I could have said my dog, or my books, or yoga — but I just stared.
And then, I got in his car.
It was crazy to take a road trip with a stranger, but after years of standing still, he was my one-way ticket to a new life, and I wasn’t going to miss it.
We shared the same space, the same car, the same hotel room — and still, we were strangers.
One day we’d be laughing, the next, we wouldn’t speak. Emery was surrounded by impenetrable walls, but I wanted in.
Discovering his journal changed everything.
I read his thoughts, words not meant for anyone’s eyes, and the more I learned about him, the harder I fell. It turned out nothing made Emery Reed happy, and I wanted to change that.
I earned his trust by violating his privacy, and as wrong as it was, it worked — until one entry revealed a darkness I never knew existed, a timer I never knew was ticking.
Suddenly, what made me happy was saving Emery from himself. I just didn’t know if I could.

This book had me on an emotional roller-coaster, my anxiety was through the roof and I couldn’t stop turning the page to find out what was coming next.

Every time Cooper picked up that journal, I feared for her. I was so scared she’d get caught. She had a lot of close calls too.

I don’t want to say too much about Cooper or Emery because I really think you need to experience them for yourself.

Cooper has been through hell, she has no support from her parents, and they are awful human beings she needs out. She has felt stuck in her small town in Alabama and has been saving her money and working to get out of there for several years. When Emery enters the diner she works at, not only does he knock her off her feet but he proposes something that she can’t refuse.

“I wanted stories of my own to tell, and I knew that wouldn’t happen if I didn’t step out of the box I’d lived in so comfortably my whole life.”

The two of them take a road trip together and little by little start to learn about the other. There are good days and bad. Emery tries to open up and Cooper tries to understand. Feelings start to evolve and the two try to make something of it. Something casual. This is not an easy relationship there are many ups and downs and a whole lot of angst. Their stop in Vegas killed me.

“I was breathing, and that was all. But then I got in your car, and I took my first breath, and I lived.”

Cooper was light and Emery was dark and they worked kind of bringing them both to even playing fields at times. They come across people on their trip that mean something and matter to the story. It was beautiful.

“Everything is quiet when the first snow falls.”

This is told from the heroine’s point of view but what was so cool about it was still getting into Emery’s head through the journals. I loved how Kandi did that.

If you want a book that is going to punch you in the gut, make you smile, cry, and rip your hair out then this is the one for you. I loved it and loved the emotions it evoked in me. This book will stick with me for a long time to come. It was an amazing read.

Kandi started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.” She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic (like most girls brought up on Disney movies). She enjoys beach days, movie marathons, live music, craft beer and sweet wine – not necessarily in that order. KandiSteiner.jpg
