Through The Lens was everything I want in a book. I needed this book, it made me laugh, swoon, tear up, and sweat.

I am a big fan of an enemies to lovers story and this one was a perfect amount of angst but fun. It wasn’t the kind of angst that had my heart pounding against my chest and I wanted to throw my Kindle but the perfect amount that kept me satisfied. I guess it was more banter then angst and the sexual tension between these two is scorching. The author does such a good job of telling our hero (Desmond) and heroines (Maggie) backstories, you feel for them and feel like you really got insight into what made them the people they are today. I love that in a book! I’m not going into the synopsis because you already have one.

This book had me pulling out my hair because their chemistry was so hot and I wanted something to happen and when it did it was on FIRE. These two were the perfect match. I couldn’t have been happier with the ending and getting all the characters from the first two books scattered throughout was a treat.

I highly recommend this book but the series as well, it can be read as a standalone but my advice would be to read in order. Every one of these books I devoured and you will not be disappointed. This was the perfect quarantine read!
