I can never say "NO" to a Ilsa Madden-Mills Book yet alone a New Adult Sports Romance novel! This book was pure PERFECTION! Ilsa really knows how to write characters that you cant help but love.
I love seeing characters with a past and seeing them grow and move on from it. With Z and Sugar you definitely saw their vulnerability. They made my heart break at times but others make me laugh. I don't wanna give away any spoilers but this story and characters really make you get all the "feels"
Not only have they lost loved ones but Z suffers from anxiety. I absolutely loved this being talked about in this book and the ways to cope with it. Being in the spotlight like Z, captain of a Hockey Team and signing a deal with an NHL Hockey team he struggles with not wanting his mental illness out there. Mental Illness is nothing to be ashamed of and it should be talked about more. Ilsa did an amazing job speaking about it in this book!
I definitely recommend picking up this book!!
