Synopsis
/Frôg • hôg/ 1. A woman who only dates SEALs The first time I did it, I labeled it novelty. The second, I was ovulating and extremely horny, the third time was because I’d had two martinis and he had fourteen abs. Fourteen. You don’t say no to that. My name is Valen, and I’m addicted to SEALs. Bag them, tag them, on to the next. One ships out, the next ships in. It has become a hobby, a recreational sport, if you will. Their skills inside the bedroom are comparable to their notoriety on the battlefield. I’m pretty sure it has something to do with their trigger finger. I could be wrong, so don’t quote me on that. From the moment I met the infamous SEAL they call, Hutch, my game begins faltering. He wants more than one night, and while I wouldn’t mind a double dip, falling for this lethally good-looking frog would be bad for my health. Counting abs turns into counting dates, and dates turn into something else entirely. Forever.

5 stars!
Many people know by now Rachel Robinson is a favorite author of mine, whatever she writes I love. If you are familiar with her work she always adds a little bit of humor in her writing, (I love her humor). Well take Rachel’s humor and put it all in one book and you have a laugh out loud fun and sometimes raunchy story. RomCom is one of my favorite genres and Rachel really delivered on this. That’s not all though, you still get those heartfelt moments she’s also known for. She really packed a great story into this novella without it feeling rushed. The only thing is I want more of these two characters. I thoroughly enjoyed their story.

Valen doesn’t want a plain boring relationship; she’s done it once and doesn’t want to do it again. She’s very happy with her Frog Hog status until she meets Hutch. She’s ready for a real man, a SEAL.

Hutch doesn’t do casual he wants something real and he needs to convince Valen he is the one for her.

I wish I had a little bit of Valen’s personality and confidence, if found her to be a very strong heroine that made me laugh and she was confident in her own skin. I love how Rachel portrayed her, she wasn’t some dumb bimbo. She was a smart and successful woman that knows what she wants.

“I want adventure. I don’t want stability. I want mystery and homecomings. I want mind blowing sex with someone I’m one-hundred percent attracted to both body and soul. I can depend on myself. I don’t need anyone to take care of me.”

Hutch was this strong kind of broody guy, it told it how it was and expected the same in return. I loved his dry sense of humor.

Valen: “I’m telling all my friends you are coming over by the way. If I end up in a ditch somewhere, they’ll know it was you.”

Hutch: “Now that’s offensive.” pause “Make it six-fifteen. I need to buy duct tape.”

The two of them really made a great match and the chemistry was HOT. Wow these were some of the steamiest scenes I think Rachel’s written.

The epilogue was perfection, I’m a sucker for a good epilogue and this one was spot on.
I think Rachel nailed this novella; I can’t wait for the next.
