Scottie wants to fit in with her co-workers, who all happen to be “happily” married, so instead of being honest about her newfound single status, the divorcee tells a little fib that leads to a whole lot of laughter.
I loved this book! Meghan has written my all-time favorite MC, pure perfection. If I could pick the perfect man, Wilder would be it. And there couldn’t have been a better person for Scottie to come out of her shell and feel the confidence she should. Her ex had emotionally beaten her down, and Wilder helped her see her worth.
This book has numerous laugh-out-loud moments, from odd therapy sessions to the “sex” cabin where they bunked together. And the dialogue was, as usual, hilarious.
I loved seeing these two characters figure themselves out with one another, but also on their own.
Angst, Steam, emotions, and hilarity make this a well-rounded book that I would highly recommend.
