Heart of Stone by: K.K. Allen is now available! Five stars!!

Release Date: September 27

Benson Bexley has a heart of stone.

Apparently, nothing changes.

When he returns home after a decade gone, I recognize him right away.

How could I forget him?

He’s the same cocky flirt who slid dirty poetry to me in art class.

With the same stone-cold stare that shields his soul from the world.

And that same sharp-edged jaw that cuts straight through a heart like a dagger.

Fortunately, I see right through his arrogant charm.

Even better, he doesn’t remember who I am.

And I have no intention of reminding him.

After all, it’s only a matter of time until his nomadic life takes him away again.

When he relentlessly pursues me, I devise an evil plan.

Play along with his dirty, poetic charm.

And then give him a taste of his own medicine.

Revenge.

It’s not in my nature.

But Benson Bexley deserves nothing less.

It’s time for that heart of stone to shatter.

@tlbcgirls.read

You know when you start reading a book and it’s a cocky hero and you can’t stand him? But you do? You keep telling yourself not to like him, but something is pulling you in. Well, this my friend is Benson Bexley. I didn’t want to like the guy but I’m a sucker for an asshole with baggage, and I just knew K.K. could redeem him.

Benson is back at Camp Bexley after being gone for a decade and he’s back out not because he wants to be. The Bexley’s youngest brother is fighting to heal and all the brothers are there to help him through it. Benson figures while he's in town he might as well tune in on his craft and talent and take an art class, little does he know his teacher is someone from his past.

Brooklyn is teaching an art workshop and the one person she thought she never would see again or want to see again is in her class, but he doesn’t know who she is and she is more than willing to play a little game and take on some revenge.

"The guy has got an impenetrable heart of stone. He's already fooled me once. I won't let him fool me again."

Brooklyn and Benson have instant chemistry you can feel as you’re reading, it's in between the lines of their banter. Benson won’t give up on Brooklyn but Brooklyn won't have it, that is until Benson starts charming her all over again.

For me this book was a page-turner, I picked it up and looked down and I was already fifty percent into it. I smiled, laughed, teared up, and felt every single one of the emotions portrayed. I loved seeing Benson really come to terms with his life through art and really take the step to grow and forgive himself. Brooklyn was who and what he needed and I loved how it came through in the reading. K.K. really created a beautiful couple and I’m not ready to let them go just yet! Hopefully, we will get some more of them in the next Bexley brother book.
