Five stars!
It’s rare that M.Q. doesn’t get a five-star review from me, she just hits everything I want in a book. Humor, romance, angst and steam, not to mention her character development. I couldn’t wait for Breaker’s story, and she delivered one hell of a story. First of all, I love a friends to lovers romance, it’s one of my favorites and their friendship was so unique because they had been friends for over a decade and never had feelings beyond that. They were neighbors, best friends and couldn’t imagine a life without each other, well that’s until Lia gets engaged. As Breaker takes on his role of man of honor Breaker soon realizes that he might lose his close connection with Lia once she’s married and moves out. As Breaker starts helping Lia with her planning, he begins to realize his feelings might be more than just platonic.
Que in the angst, wow did I feel it. Poor Breaker was hurting and so afraid of losing his best friend, but not only that, possibly losing his true love. I loved how this story was written and how we had to wait and wait for Lia to decide what she really wanted. Holy crap the steam was off the charts, and I couldn’t believe that Breaker was the sexiest, dirtiest brother yet. LOL
A Not So Meet Cute was the book I told all my friends to read, I loved it! I really think this book may have topped it. This was my first read of 2023 and I’ve been in a funk lately, I can’t find too many that grab me, and can’t put down but this book did that, and I’m happy to say Meghan has brought me out of it. I’m so excited to read the bonus epilogues of all the brothers, I’ll be purchasing the paperback soon.
I loved this book and the series! One of my top recommendations!!
