The Conclusion to Resist is live! Reveal by K. Bromberg, read my review here.

Reveal - BT banner

I play to win, and I won’t let anything—or anyone—get in the way of what I want.

REVEAL, the raw, sexy, and jaw-dropping finale to the Wicked Ways series by New York Times bestselling author K. Bromberg, is available now!

cover169622-medium

The first time I met Vaughn Sanders, I knew I wanted her. Confident, intelligent, and downright sexy. I thought I knew how to play her game. I was ready and willing for the challenge. Little did I know she was full of secrets and surprises.
But so am I.
Charming a woman into my bed has never been my problem. It’s the relationship part that is. They want it. I don’t. But can you blame me? Broken marriages are how I make a living. Hell, no self-respecting man would let a woman own his thoughts, invade his dreams, and steal his heart. So how in the world has Vaughn done that to me?
I’ve fallen in love with her. There. I said it. But that acknowledgment comes with a heavy price.
Everything and everyone seem to be working against us, leaving us both to question whether what we have is worth the cost.
I’ll be damned if I go down without a fight.

My Review (ARC provided)
4.5 stars!

Wow did K. Bromberg take us on a crazy ride with this one. The second book picks up where the first left off. Vaughn has had it and is not giving in. Ryker is bound and determined to make things right.

The book had a steady pace the first fifty percent, and then after that it picked up and I just couldn't put it down, and then after seventy percent my jaw was on the floor. I love these types of books that keep you flipping the pages wanting to know right NOW what is going to happen. There are just way too many spoilers to get into more but lets just say the way it ended was on point and had me smiling evilly.

I love everything Kristy writes and can't wait for her next one.

She want's a fight_

Excerpt
Nothing could ever validate or justify or anything what he said. “You disrespected me, Ryker. You used me when you’re the one who is supposed to stand up for me. You used me for your own gain—” “I told you I was trying to—” “Better whatever situation you have with your client, I know. You’ve said it enough times.” I pause as I swallow over the lump forming in my throat. “For that I can’t forgive you.” He opens his mouth and shuts it as his expression falls. “And what about for trying to protect you?” His voice breaks, and I hate that every part of me wants to crumble at the sound. “The last I checked, destroying someone and protecting someone aren’t the same thing.” For the first time in this conversation, my voice lacks all emotion, because I see it now. I know it now. His shoulders visibly sag, and for a beat there’s defeat in his posture, but just as quickly as it came, it goes. “So what does that mean?” He strides across the room and puts his hands on my arms, the connection, his nearness, the somberness in his eyes all but breaking me. And it takes a second for me to find my bearings again. It takes a moment for the hurt to subside long enough so my reason can reign. I take a step back to create some of the distance that he’s clouding. “I’m sorry, Ryker, but Wicked Ways is no longer allowing you to use their services. Your access has been revoked.” “I don’t care. I don’t want their services. I just want you.” I hiccup over the sob I emit. “I just need—” To believe you. To trust what you’re saying. To know this was real. “Time.” The lump in my throat now almost chokes me. “Can you please just go now? Haven’t you caused enough hurt already?” “Don’t throw this away. Us away.” You already did. “Please . . .” My back is to him, my hand on the door. My emotions turbulent. My heart breaking. “I’ve fallen in love with you, Vaughn.” And if anything is going to spark the fight back in me, it would be those unexpected words. “No!” I spin around and stare at him, not caring about the tears suddenly painting my face. “You don’t get to say that to me! You don’t get to use those words to fix things.” I suck in a ragged breath. “But it’s true.” He gives me the most nonchalant of shrugs to match his matter-of-fact tone. I push my fingers against my eyes and shake my head back and forth as I try to reject the words I’ve never allowed anyone to say to me. The ones I’d never wanted anyone to say until twenty-four hours ago. The ones that just twisted the knife in my chest and made this whole thing hurt that much more. Because I love him too. But not like this. Not after he used me. Not after he showed me that a woman at his disposal is all he’ll ever see. Not after he thought it was okay, regardless of the circumstances. “Please leave or I’ll call the cops. I don’t love you in return,” I lie. Emotions play over every muscle in his gorgeous face. Without another word, he turns around and walks out the front door, never seeing my hand in the “hang loose” sign hidden behind my back.

A Favor for a Favor from New York Times bestselling author Helena Hunting is coming January 28th, and we have the red-hot cover!

AFFAF - CR banner

A new stand-alone romance about trading favors, battling wills, and winning love.

A Favor for a Favor, cover

When I joined Seattle’s NHL expansion team, I thought it was the start of something great. But nothing ever goes the way you expect. Take my introduction to my new neighbor. She came rolling in on the hot mess express at midnight, making a racket while she tried to get into my team captain’s apartment. Did I mention that he’s married to a woman who definitely was not her?
Imagine my surprise when I end up with an injury that has me out of the game for weeks, and she’s the one to offer to help me. I should probably add that she’s not the captain’s mistress. She’s his sexy, pastel-haired younger sister.
So we come up with an arrangement: she rehabs me so that I can get back on the ice sooner, and she can add a professional athlete that isn’t her brother to her client list. Seems simple enough. As long as I can keep my hands to myself and my hormones in check.

Five Stars! (ARC provided)

Meghan can really write swoony heroes. Carson was pretty perfect and I love how she’s not writing them as man whores, it’s a really nice change of pace. Milly was like his perfect match too. They challenged each other, made each other laugh and truly respected the other. They both have the same feelings but are to afraid to ruin what they have to bring it to attention. I love how we really got to see their bond and friendship before anything else, and when they finally both give in to their feelings the friendship doesn’t change. When things are going well something happens to seriously test their love. This thing broke me and had me flipping the pages on the edge of my seat. Ugh Meghan you killed me!

"I don't have another heart for him to break. The one I have is barely being held together."

I enjoy Meghan’s writing so much, she really kills it with bringing out all your emotions!! And of course the side characters have me wanting a book for all. Bring them on girl!!

Let me ask you a question: If someone is vying for your spot on a team and just so happens to injure you during practice, would you believe it was on purpose? Word around campus is . . . it was no accident. That injury has cost me everything; my starting position, my junior year—and the draft. Now, I’m a senior fresh off recovery, struggling to find my groove, until the day I run into a nervous, fidgety, girl with freckles, in the dining hall. They call Milly Potter The Baseball Whisperer, The Diamond Wizard, and The Epitome of All Knowledge. She believes in baseball. She breathes it. She’s the queen of an infamous dynasty, but no one actually knows who she really is, and she plans to keep it that way. One mishap in the panini line, one miscommunication in the weight room, and many failed attempts at an apology equal up to one solid truth -- Milly Potter never wants to speak to me again -- no matter how good my forearms look. Little do we both know, she’s about to become more than just my fairy ballmother. TheDugout_teaser-1-2
Excerpt:
**CARSON**

Everyone knows me as the easygoing, fun-loving guy without a care in the world. You know who I’m talking about, right?

The guy who cheers when a couple kisses, who says stupid shit like YIPPEE when he’s excited, the guy who has no shame in shimmying his bare, bright white ass to his friends just to make them laugh.

I’m also the guy who is magically smart, can lead an entire bar to harmoniously sing any Taylor Swift song, lucks out in everything he does, and has impeccable taste in clothing—despite wearing a baseball hoodie every Monday. A dude must make himself feel better when the Monday blues hit and a hoodie does just that.

But have you guessed it? Do you see where this is going?

I’m not that guy anymore.

Nope.

Easygoing and fun-loving? Not anymore.

I spit venom at whoever dares to be in my presence. You know the old man who throws endless piles of shoes at the street youths as they walk by? That’s me, minus the incontinence problem and mothball smell.
My days of singing Taylor Swift with a crowd are over.

Instead—if I even make it to a bar—I bury myself in a corner and sneer. Oh boy, do I fucking sneer. I sneer at anything and anyone that even
attempts to look at my face.

That impeccable fashion sense I was boasting about? Gone. I think I’ve been wearing the same pair of athletic shorts for a month—not really—but maybe it’s a little true.
And the guy who lucks out in everything he does? Ha, my luck was cut short at the beginning of the season thanks to the square ass, dirty dick named Kirk Babcock, also known as Kirk BADcock by my team.

What did this Badcock do, you ask?

If you’re thinking he poked me with said bad cock, you need to get your mind out of the gutter.

What he did was even worse than winging his willy around on the baseball field.

So bad that you might need to brace yourself . . .
**FLAILS ARMS**

He committed a sin against all baseball etiquette.

The cardinal sin.

The biggest sin of all sins.

Are you sitting? I don’t want you to faint from the blasphemy I’m about to share.
Deeps breaths, everyone . . .

He . . . damn it, he slid late . . . at practice.

Gasp, I know.

I told you it was bad . . . my balls are shriveling up into my taint just thinking about it.
The dumbass freshman, who had too much juice in his junk, decided to book it to second during a practice game while Holt and I were fleshing out a double play. The dingleberry slid into second base two seconds too late.

Why is this a problem?

For those of you who might not be in the know—don’t worry, I won’t hold it against you—back in 2016, the gods of baseball developed a new rule; all players sliding into second must hit the ground first before touching the bag to avoid injuring the opposing players.

Layman’s terms: don’t be a dickhead and hurt people.

Apparently, Badcock didn’t get that memo, because the little turd nugget charged second base like an out-of-control steam train . . . just as I slid my foot across the base for the out. His dirty slide took my leg out, twisting me in the process, and tossed me to the ground.

As I fell, I heard a resounding snap that would make any grown-ass man throw up into his lap, followed by an immense amount of pain shooting up the back of my leg.
The motherfucker—stenchy bad cock—ruptured my Achilles tendon.

Like Achilles himself, I buckled to the ground and wallowed in pain while holding my leg, as if I let go, it would detach from my body and float right on up to heaven where it belongs for the many good years it gave me.

Badcock proceeded to fling his helmet off his head, get in my face, and apologize profusely, making up some excuse about tripping over his own damn feet. Yeah, okay, fart breath.

I’d like to see the tape for a full review, because I’m questioning the shit out of that statement. Tripped, my left nut.

If I was a freshman and got hurt, I wouldn’t want to rip the skin off Badcock’s scrotum, maybe just give him a swift lodge of my foot up his ass. But ripping scrotum skin, nah.
But guess what? I’m not a goddamn freshman.

I’m a fucking junior, and if you know anything about baseball, you know being a junior in college is one of the most important times in a guy’s life.

Because that’s the year you’re eligible to be drafted.

DRAFTED.

Brentwood University is known as a breeding ground for exceptional baseball players; it’s where the scouts come to find their next top prospects. If you want to play professional baseball, you either choose to go into the draft right after high school or be recruited by Brentwood. I chose an education so I had a possible career to fall back on in case something happened to me . . . like rupturing my Achilles tendon.

Can you guess where this is going?

Strike up the violins, because a sob story is coming your way.

I was ushered off the field and straight to the state-of-the-art training room where, after an excruciating physical exam, I had an ultrasound. It was then confirmed I’d be out of commission for the season. I underwent surgery, had the stupid thing stitched back together—let’s take a moment to be physically ill over the thought of that—and then put through an extensive rehab, missing my chance to be drafted.

You read that right, I was not drafted. My best friends were . . . I was not.

Because no one wants an injured player, even if he has tons of promise.

Even if he was the best second baseman in the country.

Even if he was supposed to be drafted in the first round.

Not one single team wanted to take the gamble to see if I could make a full recovery.
Isn’t that just peachy?

So needless to say, Kirk BADcock stays as far away from me as possible. As for me, I’d like to say I’m not a bitter man with a chip on his shoulder, but that would be a massive lie.

I have the biggest damn chip on my shoulder, so big that I named him Aloysius and I high-five him every morning, agreeing that we’re going to try to make at least one person’s life miserable that day.

My suggestion, if you see me around campus? Steer clear, run away, duck and hide, because I’m a polluted motherfucker with an equally rotten Aloysius on my shoulder ready to raise hell in your life.

Carson Stone is out for vengeance thanks to one moronic badcock.

Neat, an all-new standalone contemporary romance by Kandi Steiner is LIVE! Read Kenzie's Five Star Review!!

Neat - RB banner.jpg

"Rival families. Deep secrets. Exact opposites who can't help but cross all the lines. Neat will leave you thirsty for more Becker Brothers!" -- bestselling author Staci Hart

Neat Cover FINAL.png
My life is over.
I swore I would never work at the whiskey distillery with my last name on it, that I would never be a part of my father’s legacy. But when I graduated with my art degree and realized there were no jobs, the devil appeared, and I sold my soul, agreeing to work in the family business if he’d give me the art studio I’d always dreamed of.
It can’t be that bad, I thought.
Until I realized my new boss was Logan Becker.
The Becker brothers have a reputation for being trouble, and since I love trouble, it’s no surprise to me that I’m infatuated by that forbidden fruit the first day I walk into the distillery. That lean, whiskey-eyed, too-hot-for-his-own-good man hates me — and I can’t blame him. His family has been at war with mine for decades, and for good reason.
The Beckers and the Scooters are the Montagues and Capulets of Stratford, Tennessee.
But if he’s Romeo, and I’m Juliet? Well… we all know how that story ends — and for that reason, I tell myself to steer clear.
Because if my father finds out I’m falling for Logan Becker, my life actually will be over.
And Logan’s will be, too.
Neat is a stand-alone book in the Becker Brothers Series.

FIVE STARS!!

WOW! Kandi Steiner has amazed me yet again. I read this book as the second Becker brother book and certainly enjoyed it! From reading On The Rocks I'm so thankful to say Logan Becker has gotten the story he deserves. I said it in On The Rocks and I'm saying it again I have a new book boyfriend. Logan is your sweet southern boy...and he READS! What more could a girl ask for?
When Mallory Scooter comes to work as a tour guide at the whiskey distillery is when his world gets flipped upside down.
They hate each other at first, but is that hate strong enough to keep them apart? And you already know love is stronger than hate, so...
But there's a catch, the Becker's and the Scooter's do NOT get along and will NEVER get along.
Can that family feud separate Logan and Mallory, or will it make them and their feelings stronger than ever? IDK...JK I do but I'm not telling you. Go get the book and read it to find out if this "love story" will make or break you.

Excerpt:
“So… I guess we should just be…” Logan swallowed. “Friends?” The way he asked it, the way his eyebrows bent together, his lips flattening — I knew it was a hollow offer. I nodded. “Sure. Of course.” A smile that felt like a wave of nausea found my lips. “Friends.” Logan watched me, and I watched him, both of us waiting for something more. It seemed like there were a million unborn words between us, floating in the air, waiting for us to reach out and grab them and bring them to life. When a long moment of silence had passed, Logan bit the inside of his cheek, picking up his highlighter he’d abandoned on the desk when I’d walked in like he was ready to get back to work. “But,” I said, and his eyes snapped to mine, the highlighter frozen over the page. “I mean… there’s another option, isn’t there?” Logan dropped the highlighter, leaning back again. “There is?” “I’m just saying,” I said, voice shakier than I wanted it to be in that moment. I took a sip of my coffee, shrugging. “What if we kept things low key… casual… just between us?” My eyes found his again. “It is what it is, and it’s not what it’s not. Right? No need for anyone to know.” “Low key,” Logan repeated, like he was tasting the words, checking them for poison with his tongue. “So, friends… with benefits.” I snorted. “If you want to be twenty-one about it, sure.” Logan nodded, over and over, just a slight movement of his chin up and down as he considered it. I watched him as he stood, and I expected him to start pacing the office, but instead, he crossed it, closing his door and turning to face me. His eyes swept over me, sparking a fire low in my stomach. He wet his lips. He took a step. And then I was out of my chair, meeting him in the middle, the two of us crashing together like magnets. His hands weaved into my hair when he captured my mouth with his own, both of us sighing on an inhale, moaning on the exhale, leaning into each other like we could somehow melt together completely. All the electricity I’d felt that night came back like a tidal wave, and I surrendered to the waves, letting them drown me. I wanted him to fill my lungs, to conquer every breath, to imprison me. It was a kiss that told me we were both lying. We both wanted more. But if it was a choice between this, or nothing at all? There wasn’t a decision to make — not where I was concerned. It had already been made for us, without either of us having a say, without either of us having an ounce of control to throw this story in another direction. We were inevitable, me and him. And maybe we knew it from the start. Logan backed me up to the desk, and when my ass hit it, I hiked both legs up, wrapping them around his waist and squeezing. He hissed, sucking my bottom lip between his teeth and releasing it with a pop, his hips rolling against mine. I broke the kiss to let out a gasp, and his mouth was on my neck in an instant, sucking and biting, my eyes rolling back at the contact. He paused with his lips by my ear, breathing heavy. “I think this could work for me,” he whispered, running his tongue over my ear lobe. “This… friends agreement.” His hands squeezed where they held my hips, and the familiar pressure sent flashes of Saturday night barreling through my memory. I gasped, mouth still hanging open when he kissed my neck over to the opposite ear to whisper again. “What do you think?” Against the voice inside me warning me not to, I ran my fingers through his hair, gripping those dark strands and pulling his lips back to mine. That kiss was an answer. That kiss was a lie. And distantly, I realized that kiss might be the biggest mistake of my life.

Kandi Steiner is a bestselling author and whiskey connoisseur living in Tampa, FL. Best known for writing “emotional rollercoaster” stories, she loves bringing flawed characters to life and writing about real, raw romance — in all its forms. No two Kandi Steiner books are the same, and if you’re a lover of angsty, emotional, and inspirational reads, she’s your gal.
An alumna of the University of Central Florida, Kandi graduated with a double major in Creative Writing and Advertising/PR with a minor in Women’s Studies. She started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.” She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a diehard hopeless romantic, and likes to highlight all the challenges of love as well as the triumphs.
When Kandi isn’t writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, talking with her extremely vocal cat, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys live music, traveling, anything heavy in carbs, beach days, movie marathons, craft beer, and sweet wine — not necessarily in that order.

Neat Cover FINAL-2.png
