I love second chance romances and the throw in a jock to top it off, and I’m hooked. This book was thoroughly enjoyable. It a super fast read and before I knew it I was done.
Jane and Chase were high school sweethearts, Chase was a football player though, and when he moved on to college, the relationship didn’t last. He ate, breathed and slept football and Jane didn’t fit into his life at the time. That was ten years ago.
Present day Chase is back and playing for the team Jane manages and her father coaches, she wants nothing to do with Chase but Chase is determined to make her see differently.
They start to reminisce and remember what they had become friends; friendship is hard for them though because of lingering feelings and heartache from the past.
Jane was a strong heroine who worked hard for what she has and isn’t about the let her control slip. Chase is just as hardworking as a football player and can not have a distraction.
I was rooting for these two from the beginning; they had such great chemistry, funny teasing, and repartee. I enjoyed reading the scenes when they were together so much.
