My Review (ARC provided)
4.5 stars!
There is something about Ilsa’s books that suck me in from the beginning. They are witty, sexy and fun to read. I Dare You might be my favorite one yet. The title of this book was perfect and I love how it fit right into the book.
Delaney is a quirky, sweet, beautiful girl that has recently been burned by her ex, who happens to be a football player. Now she swears off all jocks and most importantly football players.
Maverick has other ideas and has had his sights set on her for some time now. He needs her to see him for who he is not the cocky football player. I love how the two initially meet at the bonfire. I also loved the mysterious messages and fun banter.
“Maverick is in my blood, my skin, my bones. He’s the light, the sun I want to orbit.”
Maverick is far from your stereotypical jock, he is smart and has some deep issues he’s dealing with. He wants everything to be right for his special needs sister and he’ll do anything for her, even if that means risking his future.
Both of these characters were likable and enjoyable to read. They had sizzling chemistry and was rooting for them the whole time.
“Two stars in the sky, two souls destined to be together.”
I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!
