Review! Stick Me Baby...One More Time by: Kat DeSalle & Kristin Leigh Jones...Out now!!

Stick Me Baby...One More Time (Has-Been Series #2)
Synopsis:

Rod Stick—though his birth certificate says Rodney Moore— has everything a top-notch porn star ever wanted. Friends are his new family, money satisfies his every wish, and endless lines of willing and ready women fulfill any voids his jaded childhood left behind. Drugs and alcohol patch the remaining leaks those things can’t fix.

However, things are beginning to change. His friends and their bachelor lifestyle are fading in the hot L.A. sun. Irresponsible decisions and self-destructive actions have his career on the rocks. Like his best friend, Tony, he worries he’s going to be the next “has-been.” To complicate things further, a certain sexy and dangerous amber-haired stripper is changing him into another person—one that he isn't sure he can handle. They say you can’t make a “ho into a housewife.” But two hoes? There are better odds in Vegas.

Can Rod find the solace he's searching for in his own private dancer, Crystal Amber? Settling down with her might close the door on that dark chapter of his life forever—the one he’s been running from since he was a kid. Or, will he lose himself and everyone else around him instead creating his own version of hell?

Sometimes our own light is hiding in dark places. Will Rod find his?

My Review: (ARC provided)
4.5 stars!

This book took a different tone than the first Ting Tang Tony, it had definite humorous moments but a lot of it was serious too. After reading Ting Tang Tony I really disliked Rod, lets face it he's a big man child. He has problems though and he's ready to face them head on. I actually ended up kind of liking him. Don't get me wrong he can still be a total dick, completely selfish and immature but something changes in him and you see that gradually happen.

I hate spoilers so I can't say too much but this isn't your typical romance, it's more of a book about growth. Love yes, but it's just different. I think Rod discovers what love is and maybe not in the traditional sense.

After Rod finally seeks help for his drug addiction he finds other ways to remain sated, and by that I mean Crystal. So instead of drugs to numb his life he uses her and falls pretty hard. Rod is trying to change, to grow up but at the same time he's dating someone almost twenty years younger. Crystal is also trying to overcome her addiction but she's going about it differently. They use each other as a crutch but will they be able to make it work? And in the end will the difference in age matter?

Normally that big of an age difference bothers me but because Rod was who he was it didn't. I have to say this is one book I really didn't think I wanted the two to end up together. I was sort of rooting for Jen (friend of Rod's) to come in.

This was a great read and I'm really happy with how things ended. Rod was a pleasant surprise and he definitely wiggled his way into my heart!

I highly recommend!
