My Review: review copy provided
Five fabulous debut stars! (I'm not even deducting for the cliff hanger)
Catherine and Jackson are my new favorite H and h's!
Catherine has been deceived by all the most important people in her life one way or another. When she's finally trying to put herself back together she "falls" into Jackson. Jackson elicits feelings in her she hasn't felt before but she's scared to open her heart and trust again.
Jackson has had heartache in different ways and tends to close himself off to love but when Catherine enters his life he's ready to try again.
Can they be together with out breaking each other?
There is so much emotion in this book. I laughed, I cried, I got a little hot and I got really really angry...like I wanted to jump in my Kindle and rip a couple peoples heads off angry. KARMA please!!
Jackson and Catherine's decisions and faults were very real and I love love love how Catherine was not a doormat, she stood up for herself and for the most part didn't let her personal life interfere with her work. She was strong but not a bitch. And the friends of both the H and h were great too.
Here we go again with a cliffhanger...UGH!!
I had to buy the next book immediately and am currently reading it now. I am loving this one too.
So yes it has a cliffhanger, yes it makes you angry, but it is so worth it.
I highly recommend!
Thank you Corinne for providing me a copy of this wonderful book.

When she’s assigned to do an exclusive story with the reluctant race car driver she once loved, she believes this could be her purging. But chemistry tears apart her resolve to stay strong. Can they work out their differences and fall in love again, or will tragedy keep them apart?
Excerpt
She took a deep breath. Usually her interviews became more personal. She wasn’t sure how personal to get with him. She knew a lot about him—at least she used to—but she was scared of asking him the wrong thing. She didn’t want to set him off.
“What’s your favorite color?” Caitlyn held a pen in her hand, poised to write, trying to concentrate on the task at hand. Her focus, though, was Wesley’s deep green eyes. Eyes able to pierce her and reach a part of her no one had ever been able to touch before. Something about the way he looked at her, like he saw only her, deep down, clear to her soul.
A hint of danger lurked in his eyes, a predator-like stance that made her sense he was ready to devour her, sexually and otherwise. A vulnerability that made Caitlyn yearn to take him in her arms, to be as close to him as possible. His gaze held no arrogance, no indifference, and no deceit.
Her throat felt parched. His eyes devoured every morsel of her power and well-being.
She couldn’t think of a decent thing to say. Thank God it was his turn to talk.
“My favorite color,” he said as he leaned across the table, closer to Caitlyn, “is the capricious color of your eyes.”
His lips were only inches from hers so that his breath licked against her skin. His eyes possessed her.
She clutched her pen in midair, frozen in space for a mere second. He touched her hand.
The pen fell.
“Blueberry,” he said as he trailed a light kiss across her knuckle, his eyes still magnetizing hers. Her heart stopped in her throat. “Dark and wounded. Cornflower blue, tantalizing with banter and witticism.” He kissed the tip of her pinkie and went on to taste each finger, slowly taking his time with each one. “Sea blue, bright and sparkling like the waves catching a sunset, when you’re happy.”
Caitlyn, entranced with his words, was amazed he even noticed her eyes and more amazed he practically recited poetry. Where had he come up with this?
“Storm clouds,” he continued as he stroked the inside of her palm. “Brewing with a passion and desire you’re too afraid to feel. Sometimes periwinkle, sometimes almost lavender and sometimes a sultry gray. Right now though, they are definitely–”
She pulled her hand away and scooted back in her chair. Thoroughly aroused, she squeezed her thighs tighter in an attempt to bury the spark.
“You’re full of it,” she said. “My eyes don’t change colors that much and even if they did, you wouldn’t notice.”
“What makes you say that?” He leaned back in his chair, taking the two back legs to its haunches, something they both used to get in trouble for when they were kids.
She shook her head and didn’t answer. The touch of his warm mouth on her fingers still burned in her core.
“I always notice your eyes.”

Title: The One Thing
Series: Hollywood Timelines Book Two
Author: Briana Gaitan
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Synopsis:
When everything falls apart, he's the one thing that holds me together.
Ginger Teague may seem like your typical Hollywood actress with the famous boyfriend, designer clothes, money, and hit TV show, but constantly being in the public eye has its downside.
People seem more interested in her chaotic relationship with her on again/ off again boyfriend than her acting career, and Ginger isn't dealing with her new found fame in a way she always envisioned. She masks her unhappiness with too many parties and an unhealthy habit of binge drinking. As much as she wants love, men find her as a pretty amusement, not the type of girl you take home to mom and dad.
When she meets Caspian Norwood, they quickly begin a regimen of flirty emails.
He's a struggling musician that doesn't quite fit her idea of the perfect boyfriend.
He's older, mysterious, cultured, knows exactly what to say and do in all the right situations, and Ginger can't help falling for him. But the world is against them, pushing them apart, and it's beginning to feel as if they're only meant to be friends.
The One Thing is a standalone novel and book two in the Hollywood Timelines series. You met Ginger in The Last Thing, now hear her love story.
(Intended for ages 18 and up)
My Review: ARC provided
4.5-5 stars!
I really enjoyed this book. The build up, the chemistry, just the overall realness to it. I pretty much read it in a day and was so happy to get the opportunity to read and review. I liked The Last Thing a lot but I just adored this book.
Ginger (h) is struggling with the Hollywood life and keeping up a charade she doesn't want to deal with anymore. She has had enough of her fiance's cheating habits and is ready to call it quits. She relies on partying and drinking A LOT.
Ginger meets Caspian (H) in Tennessee on her way to an audition and the sparks fly but Caspian isn't her type and she is confused as to why she feels drawn to him almost instantly.
Caspian is in a band and has his own problems to deal with in to keep the band together...one being his ex. When he meets Ginger he is attracted to her but there is something more, something he sees in her that most people don't. And one night starts the beginning of a blooming friendship.
I loved Caspian! I thought he meant well in everything he did and yeah he made a few mistakes along the way but he was a great guy. Ginger I wasn't so sure about at first but slowly as Caspian gets to know the real Ginger so does the reader and I liked how her personality unfolds with the book.
I'm not a big fan of H's smoking so I loved how they decided on this pact to rid themselves of their bad habits.
The one thing I found unique in this book is that the H and h's relationship was primarily all cyber or phone conversations and it spanned over several months time, so they really got to know each other. I just loved the build up to their relationship it was so well done (I know I already said that)! And what a terrific epilogue, I was like YES finally.
Booker and Aly...Ugh I'm so mad at them. I'm interested in the next book because at this point in time I really think they are some horrible friends and people. I hope they redeem themselves.
I highly recommend!

Cover Reveal!! Ricochet by: Jessica Wilde
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: February 23, 2015
Fear.
It's the last thing I remembered.
I was afraid.
Afraid to fight, afraid to run… afraid to breathe.
Then, everything had gone dark. As if life was finally hearing my pleas, my cries to end the torment. To end the fear.
But even in the dark, I still felt it.
I always felt it.
My life had been a ricochet of one event leading to the next. Bouncing back and forth from good to bad. Happiness to despair. Hope to fear.
My name is Arianna West. I'm stronger now. Steady. Alive.
I can find a way to survive on my own. I can see what is coming for me. I can channel my fear into strength.
Except… I didn't see Jack.
And Jack changed everything.
For readers 18+ due to language, violence, and sexual content.
I live in Morgan Utah with my husband, daughter, and dog, Kolo. I write as often as my active daughter will let me and my husband has the patience of a saint. I find inspiration from dreams, people I meet, and life experiences. When I write, I usually end up drinking one too many cans of Peace Tea, eating three too many Fruit by the Foot fruit snacks, and accidentally kicking my pup and best buddy, Kolo, too many times since he loves to sleep under my desk at my feet. I started writing as a teen, but my fear of the unknown won out every time and I threw everything out. After becoming a mother and deciding to stay at home to raise my beautiful little girl, I tried again when I couldn't stop thinking of ideas. I loved every minute, every hour of sleep lost, and every character that came to life in my mind. It's strange, but my favorite moments are when I have writer's block because I can turn to my husband and find inspiration through him by just doing what we do best together. Talking, laughing, and just being in love. He doesn't like to read, but he never stops encouraging me to keep going. Writing has become an important part of my life and every book has a special place in my heart.
