Preppy Part Two Cover Reveal!

BLURB

It wasn't a sweet reunion.
It was a fucking relapse.
Preppy finds himself back in a world he once loved, but no longer recognizes. His dim smile can’t hide his inner turmoil and the people he views as family all suddenly feel like polite strangers.
Except for one person. A girl with dark eyes and even darker hair.
A girl who isn’t even an option.
At least, not anymore.
Dre can’t decide who she’s going to listen to. Her heart, her head, or her body. Because two out of those three things have her heading right back to Logan’s Beach. Closure is what she tells herself she’s seeking, but when she unlocks doors that were never meant to be opened she soon discovers that when it comes to Samuel Clearwater, closure might NEVER be an option.
This is book six in the King Series and the second part of Preppy and Dre's story.

Now Live! The Fighter and the Baroness by: Sunniva Dee...Review, excerpt and giveaway!

The Fighter and the Baroness
Sunniva Dee
Publication date: November 29th 2016
Genres: New Adult, Romance
Victor Arquette knows the meaning of sacrifice. Destined to legendary status in mixed martial arts, his life is founded on it. Dedication equals sacrifice, and sacrifice means around-the-clock training, no partying, no junk food, no alcohol—and no women.
Helena von Isenlohe is the heiress to Kyria Castle. Due to her father’s lack of financial prowess, the restoration of the ancient German estate rests on Helena’s shoulders. A failed attempt leaves a wealthy man alone at the altar—and the fleeing bride on a plane to the United States.
A chance meeting, and Victor and Helena’s chemistry is undeniable. Except, her presence clutters his focus. Victor shouldn’t crave their nights, shouldn’t be concerned where she is or with whom. And meanwhile in Germany, Kyria Castle deteriorates at a suspicious speed, indebting Helena further to the man she left behind.
Victor and Helena believe in duty. They embrace sacrifice. But when love strikes, it strikes hard, and sometimes you have to choose where your heart is truly at home.

My Review (ARC provided)
4.5 stars!

I’m going to be totally honest here and say I wasn’t sure about another “fighter” book. I’ve read a lot over the years and a lot of them seem to go down a similar path. Well I don’t know why I even gave it a second thought, Sunniva never does the same path she always takes us in a different direction and with this book it was no different. First off the chemistry between the heroine (Helena) and hero (Victor) is so well done. I felt it; it was sizzling but at the same time a lot of fun. They were passionate but yet didn’t take themselves too seriously. They were serious and determined when they needed to be. I mean we have a baroness that works at Hooters after escaping to America because she ran away on her wedding day.

“This girl appeared out of nowhere, a wild dream in a flurry of white fluff and lace, breezing through security.”

Victor has many obstacles in his way; he doesn’t need a distraction and definitely can’t afford drama with his strict training routine. Yet he can’t stop himself when it comes to Helena but he tries to convince himself to stay away.

Helena likes to have fun with Victor, rile him up make his “warrior” come out.  They have this great banter between them that kept me smiling throughout, and I love her inner dialogue about Gunther it really cracked me up.

“Gunther Wilhelm the Fourth is clearly pleased with himself. Is he stranger by the minute, or has he always been this odd?”

“I’m mentally unfriending Gunther Wilhelm the Fourth.”

She is also so devoted to her family and keeping up the place she grew up and wants to have family in one day. She puts this constant pressure on herself to help her family and their estate, she doesn’t want it to fall to pieces but yet she wants to be independent and on her own.

“I know every nook of Kyria. It’s where my children should be born and grow up. I can’t imagine a life without this place. It’s anchored in my heart.”

This is a modern day fairytale with a twist. It was great! Sunniva created this life, these families and owned it, while taking the reader into a few places we weren’t expecting.

This was a sweet love story that was very touching but yet fun. If you’re looking for a good holiday read this is a great one, add it to your list.

EXCERPT:
HELENA
My cheeks warm with embarrassment at the people waiting behind me. A female employee helps me unclasp the diamond bracelet and matching necklace. The crown though is impossible to get out of my princess ’do.
“Can I wear it through the security portal?” I ask, broken shoes in one hand.
“No, I’m sorry. It will buzz,” the security person explains. “The portal is created to alert us to most metals besides gold and silver.”
I can’t tell him I wear gold. Real, irreplaceable, century-old heirlooms. He wouldn’t believe me anyway. “If it’s okay with you, I’d like to try.”
He lifts his arms in subtle agreement, a have-it-your-way, and I enter the booth, walk out without incident. Employees from two checkpoints stare at me while I pick my stuff off the band. I shake my head, slowly at first, but then I have nothing to say, no witty comeback, and my flight instinct kicks in. I get up on my toes so I don’t stumble in the too-long skirt and stride as slowly as I can into the transit hall.
I need to not stress the hell out. Just, I wish someone was with me to talk me down. I could call Elfriede. I don’t have my phone. I need a new phone. God, how pathetic am I?
Once I’m sure security isn’t following, I haul butt down the corridor. Tiles are cold under bare feet, it turns out. I’d step into my shoes again, but one of them is broken. Would people stare less if I limped and my heels creak-clacked against the floor?
A high-end fashion store beams in the distance. “We’ll help you blend in. Hurry, hurry,” it calls. I run. Benches are in the way. I’m getting clumsy. I’m panicking. Suddenly, a potted palm tree appears out of nowhere, half-blocking my view of the Promised Land, and my torso doubles around it as I slam to the ground.
I let out an ungraceful oomph. And realize I’m not on the ground after all. No, there’s an arm around me, and miraculously I’m on my feet, wobbly but sort of erect.
“You all right?” an American accent asks.
“I was going to Cloe’s over there,” I explain in German, pointing feebly and not feeling as regal as I’ve been taught. Dark eyebrows contract from within a tanned face above me.
“Sorry?” His arm is still strong around me, really freaking strong, and somehow I’ve got a death grip around it while trying to pry him off.
I translate the same stupid sentence to English. “I was going to Cloe’s. It’s over there.”
His brows are perfectly thick or thin and their arcs are so perfectly perfect they look like they’ve been combed, but then the furrow between them smoothens and I discover his eyes.
Oh.

About OUT OF BOUNDS...

The first rule of football--don't screw with a streak.

My career is finally looking up, and I'm leading a new pro team down the field every Sunday. No way will I mess with that. But when I meet the most stunning and captivating woman I've ever seen, I tell myself one night will have to be enough.

But it's not. And now I can't get her out of my mind. Even when I'm playing. Even when I need to focus. Even when I'm on the hottest streak of my life.

And it turns out, she's not just some random woman I met. She works for the team. My team.

***

I only have one goal this season--do my part as the team's lawyer to keep them out of trouble. Help rebuild their reputation on and off the field. There's no room for error and certainly no room for a secret tryst with a player . . . even if he's the quarterback.

Right?

Out Now!! Review...Bad Romeo Christmas by:Leisa Rayven

Bad Romeo Christmas: A Starcrossed Anthology (Starcrossed, #4)

From the internationally best selling author of BAD ROMEO, BROKEN JULIET, and WICKED HEART comes an anthology of sweet and sexy novellas featuring beloved Starcrossed characters such as Ethan and Cassie, Liam and Elissa, and Josh and Angel; as well as the gang from The Grove.

Have Yourself A Sexy Little Christmas: An Ethan and Cassie Novella

Ethan and Cassie’s first Christmas with the Holt family should be nothing but jolly. Sure, Cassie’s a mess trying to impress her future in-laws with the perfect casserole, but when an unexpected blast from Ethan’s past shows up beneath the tree, the season gets a whole lot more serious—and sexy.

The Naughty List: A Liam and Elissa Novella

After being apart for months, Liam and Elissa are making up for lost time on a secluded island, where they think they’re free to explore each other’s bodies in peace. But when it turns out their Christmas sanctuary isn’t as deserted as it first seemed, their Christmas dreams turn into a nightmare.

Happy, Horny New Year: A Josh and Angel Novella

When the gang from the Grove gets together at a lavish New Year’s Eve party, it’s like no time has passed. Except Elissa and Josh are dating Hollywood royalty, Jack and Zoe have been hooking up in secret, Connor’s new girlfriend wants to murder Cassie, and Erika’s mystery man has everyone talking. Before midnight, shocking revelations are made, industry tongues are wagging, and the poor mistletoe is ready to pass out from overuse.

No matter how you're spending the holidays, BAD ROMEO CHRISTMAS is sure to heat up your festive season this winter.

My Review: (copy provided)
5 stars!
Leisa has quickly made it to my favorite author list. Every single book I've read that she's written, I gobbled up. This book kept me smiling the entire time. I loved it! We get to get a glimpse of everyone we love. Cassie and Ethan, Lissa and Liam, and even Josh and Angel. I love how you actually got to see the insecurities of a man. In so many novels it's always the heroine that's insecure.

You get a few more love connections that I won't mention. There is not a character I dislike. Each novella is sexy and fun, the perfect holiday read. Here are just a few great quotes...

Ethan: "Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, Donatello...if you boys are down there, I apologize for what I'm about to do. Forgive me."

"You are my first love. I didn't even know the meaning of the word until you crashed into my life, and I wouldn't change that for anything."

Lissa: As far as you're concerned, this theater is the Sacred Church of the Kickass Bitch, and I am your Goddess, so you have three seconds to do exactly as you're told of face my unholy wrath."

Connor: Does Superman need an assistant every time he takes a piss?"
Josh: Yes. But they're called a pissistant. Important support job."

Like I said Leisa has become a favorite of mine and I will continue to read every book she writes.

*You do need to read the Starcrossed series first.

BONUS SCENE FROM THE SERIES:

🍕🍰Cupcakes Series ~ Bonus Scene🍕🍰 I was trying, unsuccessfully, to hide my grin while Elin and Elena chattered on excitedly about our upcoming trip to Hawaii. We were in the midst of chaos. Machines were dinging loudly, children were laughing and yelling, and everyone was talking over each other, trying to be heard. Cade looked uncomfortable, out of place, and like he was hoping a meteor was about to crash down and take out the pizza joint and put him out of his misery. He had on a black skull cap, a dark t-shirt and black jeans, and he was adorned with his usual jewelry. Thick, silver rings, rope bracelets, and a few chunky necklaces. He was my shit-hot oasis in a sea of yuppies and stay at home moms. Even without his cut, it was obvious that my man was one bad-ass mother, and the last place he expected to be on a Friday night was at a family fun place. He was more suited to a smoky bar with classic rock playing on the juke box, and loose women on the prowl. But did he let on to my twins that he’d rather have his beard taken out with tweezers, one hair at a time, than playing skeeball and grabbing a slice with them… not on your life. He was grinning as Elin talked about snorkeling, seeing sharks, and going whale watching. I was about to suggest it was time to go, and let Cade off the hook, when I saw Elena stiffen and drop her head, allowing her hair to curtain her face. I turned my head to see why she was hiding, and saw a group of boys walking into the pizza place, laughing as they looked for an open booth. “Who are they?” I asked, placing my hand on Elena’s knee. She shook her head, causing her hair to move, but didn’t reply. “Lena?” I prodded. When there was still no response, I looked up and caught Elin watching his sister. “Elin?” “They’ve been giving Lena a hard time in English class, ever since Ms. Cotton made us stand up and read our poems out loud.” “Why?” I asked sharply. “What have they been doing?” “Calling her names and stuff,” Elin said, giving the boys a dark look over my shoulder. “I’ve told them to back off. I think that JJ likes her, and that’s why he keeps messing with her.” “If you like a girl, you don’t show it by being an asshole,” Cade bit off, my gaze swinging to him when I caught his tone. “Swear jar,” Elin said automatically. “Gosh, not now, Elin,” Elena said, finally speaking, but still not putting her head up. “Can we just go?” “Sure, baby,” I said, grabbing my purse and starting to rise. “I’ll meet you at the truck,” Cade ordered, and my pulse started dancing nervously. “What are you going to do, Cade?” I hissed, glancing back and forth at the twins who were watching Cade warily. “You can’t beat up a bunch of eleven and twelve-year-old boys.” “Don’t worry, Darlin’, I’m just going to talk to them,” Cade assured me as all six foot three of him rose and stepped into the aisle. “Meet me at the truck.” “C’mon, guys,” I said, ushering the twins to the exit. Of course, once we got outside, we didn’t go to the car, we pressed our noses to the glass to see what was happening inside. We watched as Cade sauntered over to where the boys were piling into their booth. They all jumped when he spoke, and I saw a few of them start to visibly shake as they looked my biker babe over. I saw one kid raise his hand, and Elin whispered, “That’s JJ,” then get out of the booth to stand next to Cade who put a hand on his shoulder as he spoke to him. The kid’s hair flopped as he nodded rapidly, and I swear, I could see his Adam’s apple bob as he swallowed. Cade picked up his hand, then brought it back down on JJ’s shoulder, said something to the kid, then something to the group of boys, before turning and striding casually to the cashier where he paid our bill. We watched as he walked out, eyes on us as we peered back at him from our viewing spot, and our heads all turned toward Cade as he opened the door and turned to us. “Can you ever just do what I ask, Lila?” he asked, his tone frustrated, but his face amused. I shook my head slowly, dying to ask what he’d said to those boys, but knowing he wouldn’t answer in front of the kids. “I didn’t think so,” Cade said, then fished the keys out of his pocket and added, “Let’s go.” But before he could step off of the curb and head to the parking lot, Elena rushed forward and threw herself against him. I bit back a watery sigh as Cade bent low and kissed my daughter on the top of her head. “Let’s go home,” he said softly, and I heard Elena say, “Thanks, Cade,” her voice muffled against his shirt. “Anytime, sweet girl,” was his reply.

It only takes one defining moment.
One look.
 One dance.
One conversation.

Sarah knows from the second she meets Liam that their connection is more than just instant attraction. It’s deep, it’s consuming, and has the potential to be the real thing. But true love comes at a price. Fuelled by Liam's past, Sarah's issues, and a messy web of family ties, business partnerships, and exes, the combined forces threaten to snuff out their new found relationship.

Will that spark be smothered by outside forces? Or will they be carried like smoke from the ashes and sent spiralling skywards?

Written in Lesley Jones’ usual heartfelt, witty, and emotional voice, this dual point of view story is just the beginning of her Spiralling series.
